New Granddaughter

We are having a new little granddaughter on February 17, 2009. We have always wanted a granddaughter, but have only had boys, so we are very excited! She will be Brian's little sister, and the daughter of Richard and Kate. Her parents have decided that she will be named Anna Kathryn. They are naming her Anna after Randy's Mother, Anna, who passed away on Christmas Eve, 2002. We loved her dearly, and I think that little Anna will be perfect to honor her.

Blogging

I have been away from the blog for a while, but I am back now. It has been a crazy few weeks. So much going on, so much to do, the days have been like a whirlwind......lots to catch up on over the next few days, but I will.

Moving my Shop

I had to move my little shop from one area to another in the antique store this week. I decided to downsize since things have slowed and I am not selling very much. Talk about a lot of work! Whew! But, I really think I like the smaller area better than the larger one. I am in the process of making some fall decorations for the shop and I am going over tomorrow and decorate. Having a few days off has been really nice. I need about a year off to get everything done that I need to do, but I don't foresee that happening. The holidays are coming up though, and I have lots of work to do to get the soaps made and ready and to get the little shop stocked with goodies!

I am Back!

I have not posted here since January, and I am ashamed to say that I have been so busy. I have 2 other blogs and between making soap, working, family stuff, church, and other family obligations
I have just not had time. I promise that I will keep this blog up from this day forward!!!!!

This was a great Christmas, except for Chris, Stacy and the boys not being here. This is a pic of 4 of our boys, Randy, me, and Brian. The tall boy on the end, is one of our dearest friends. We took these after we came back from dinner at the Smith House in Dahlonega.

Catching Up

WOW, there is just too much to do! I can't keep up with all the things that I need to do. So, I am doing a catch up post. Christmas was fabulous, except the California gang was not here . We went to Smith House and all went better than I even hoped! Ernie the Lucky Dog is getting so big! He is leaving us this weekend for a hopefully permanent home. He is the sweetest dog! I just hope that his new family loves him as much as we do. Randy is so busy, and he is never home, and I am still praying and hoping for my dream job! Went to the DR today and she says that I am healthier than I thought, so I am going on a diet and exercise program starting Saturday. I am going to get back into my skinny jeans!

Cory is volunteering for the Barack Obama campaign and I am thinking of doing the same for the John Edwards campaign. We don't agree on politics, but we do agree that we love them. I like history and government more than politics, but they are exciting if you follow them.

Our new church opens on Friday night. The Grand Opening is not until January 20, but I am so excited. The sanctuary is so awesome!
